Dr. Hulbert and Staff visit local elementary schools as part of Dental Health Month ![]() Drs. Ellington and Hulbert supported National Children's Dental Health Month in February 2007 by visiting local elementary schools. The doctors presented xrays and instruments to the children which are used at a dental appointment, and the hygienist demonstrated good brushing and flossing techniques and talked about diet and decay with the students. Our hope is that early education can help prevent dental problems in the future. The students are all given a dental "goodie bag" with a toothbrush and floss, and they watch a fun video about caring for your teeth, which shows them what they need to do to keep their teeth for a lifetime. This year we spoke with twelve classes and donated over 500 toothbrushes to Sterling area elementary schools. One of the teachers, Kandis Bryant, a first grade teacher, from Loew's Island Elementary, is pictured here with Dr. Ellington D.D.S., and Teri, one of our four hygienists at the office. Our patient reception area is now wired! March 2007 marks the kick-off of our patient reception area “laptop link-up”. We understand how difficult it can be to make time in a busy schedule to visit our office, and we hope this free service will make your appointment a little easier. And if your procedure requires you to bring a driver – no problem! They can stay busy and productive, too! For those of you who cherish time away from your computers, don’t worry. We’ll always do our best to make your visit with us is as comfortable as possible, wired or not. |
